Hi! I am a Assistant Professor (tenure-track) in the Mathematics Department at CUNEF Universidad.

My mathematical interests lie primarily in enumerative and algebraic combinatorics. My research focuses on problems related to non-commutative probability, mathematical physics, combinatorics on words, combinatorial Hopf algebras, operads and species.

I completed my Ph.D. in Mathematical Combinatorics at the Laboratoire d’Algèbre, de Combinatoire et d’Informatique Mathématique (LACIM) of the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM), under the supervision of Christophe Reutenauer and Franco Saliola.

I follow Federico Ardila’s axioms on educational and societal views of mathematics:

Axiom 1. Mathematical potential is equally present in different groups, irrespective of geographic, demographic, and economic boundaries.
Axiom 2. Everyone can have joyful, meaningful, and empowering mathematical experiences.
Axiom 3. Mathematics is a powerful, malleable tool that can be shaped and used differently by various communities to serve their needs.
Axiom 4. Every student deserves to be treated with dignity and respect.

These statements should not sound revolutionary, but considering the current practices of the mathematical society, they are a pressing call to action - F. Ardila.
